River Valley rallies past Penn Cambria in rough game, 52-48, for berth in District 6 semifinals and state tournament

BURRELL TOWNSHIP — Battling through the grind of a long, competitive season, the River Valley Panthers embraced a new identity, and they found it at the right time.

In a physical matchup in the District 6 Class 3A quarterfinals, River Valley rallied past Penn Cambria, 52-48, on its home court. The Panthers (18-6) advanced to the semifinals to play at top-seeded Bishop Guilfoyle (22-4) and earned a berth in the state tournament.
